THE CHALLENGE
Mongolia is every adventurer's wish; almost 40 times the size of The Netherlands with only 2,7 million inhabitants: the hospitable, modest Mongolian nomads. In 2006 this beautiful, partly uninhabited landscape is the scenery of the Gobi Kitebuggy Expedition.
The adventure will start in The Netherlands. With a 4x4 mobile home part of the team will travel to Mongolia, through Germany, Poland and Russia. Altai in the southwest of Mongolia is the starting point of the Gobi challenge. From there the journey will go all the way to a city near the Chinese border. The route has been set, the trainings have started and the teammembers now focus on the expedition only.
It will be an expedition in a strongly variable climate, where the endurance of both people and material will be severely tested. But kiting through unknown and unpredictable terrain with a speed of 50-60 kilometres per hour is risky. Experience and preparation will be key to success.
